New year, new challenges

Yes, it was a new year and it had been a long time since I wrote here. On December 19, the flu came down (it still exists, I promise ;)) Throughout Christmas and New Year, people were clubbing like seals and completely exhausted, so the television was our best friend. In recent years, I usually never have a cough and get clubbed, but this flu was really intense and hit in just two hours, the most troublesome was the pain in the body and I felt the most sorry for Freja when she got extra pain, she is also never sick and has well now had a cough three times in his five year life, last year when we all had corona and in november smallness and now in december. But now pepper pepper we are on our feet and hope to avoid stomach flu and other nasty things that happen.

Lucky that we had time to celebrate mini Christmas with all of Jonas's family and all my children and we did that the day before the flu came to visit, the only one who survived was my son Melker, absolutely incredible...but it was quite sad for him that was lying down the whole week he was with me :(

Every New Year we usually go to the mountains, but this year we couldn't because we were still tired, so it was a lonely New Year with just me, Freja and Jonas, but we went out with the scooter for a spin and grilled hamburgers, it was nice to feel the wind in our noses after two weeks indoors.

Freja has pain on and off, yesterday she complained that it's hard to hold a coffee cup because her fingers ache, the pain is in every joint on her and I had hoped that it wouldn't develop but I guess that the better Freja gets at describing and put a finger on her feelings so that the more it comes out how she experiences her body.

On January 26, she will have an MRI on her brain and back, I'm already nervous because anesthesia is not fun, even though I'm fully aware that they're good at what they do, it's still a nervous exercise and there are risks with it, of course. But it is necessary to see if she has duraectasia (enlargement of connective tissue membranes that surround the spinal cord and spinal fluid)

Freja also received a gift from Min Stora Dag where she received gift cards for Pinchos and cinema tickets so we had an exciting day together in December and she has never been to the cinema before so it was really cool, it was just us and 5 others at the cinema: )

We also had two birthdays in the house, both my beautiful girls. Elza, who has turned 16 and has also now taken the scooter license, so now it's full speed on the scooter trails. I bought her a scooter as a Christmas present, then I have never seen a more shocked child and with such joy that is indescribable. I know it will be used extensively and she would have needed one regardless of Christmas. Now we just want to get the near-perfect bait so we can go on an adventure. Then we have little Freja who turned 5, little colorful trolls as soon as time flies, stop the time please!

What else has happened is that we have had an eye check and then we saw that Freja's eyes have stabilized, that they are at the same level as we wanted to achieve with the new glasses, this gives hope that we will avoid OP and lens replacement in the near future , yippee!

This weekend it's work for me at my new job and I'm hoping for good road conditions to drive on, damn it I'll never learn to like snow storms or slippery ice up here, I almost have a heart attack from fear on some winter days when drive! I DON'T like it, I got too scared when I got run over three times across the road so I drove a slalom and was also lucky that I didn't meet a logging truck :(

I have been off for three days and it has been so nice, although I would have liked to sleep longer, but the time will come when my child will hopefully stop getting up early (Freja)

Until then, take care, be safe and we'll see you again soon.

Love and respect

Petra
